well somebody hates next-gen consoles…

Eh, not really. I just don’t have a very big salary, so I’m very selective on how I spend it. I’d love to get to play Prototype, Assasin’s Creed, and Portal 2, but the prices just don’t seem justified to me. I still have plenty of old games I love and more I still want to play. And when I can buy the original discs at yard sales for less than $5, hard copies I can display and take to a friend’s house, why rebuy data? I know I can always keep both consoles going, but to me its not worth it.

It bothers me to see all these people yelling that video games are going to shit, and how much they hate the new consoles and the switch to locked digital content, or the rage over games and consoles that must be online to work. But, as soon as it comes out, as true as the sun sets, they all rush out and buy it. Why? Do they honestly expect the companies to change if they keep getting profits? XBox is just the first to fully jump in the pool, but the others already have their feet or legs dipped in. If XBox One doesn’t tank, its very likely that the other companies will follow Microsoft and hard copy games will become a thing of the past, and people without internet will be unable to play a console game.

I know many say its inevitable, the progression of time and technology, ect., ect.. But who really thinks this is better? Its a grab for money and control. Video game companies have been steaming over used games sales for years; over sharing games, consoles, ect., because theres no way for them to profit from it. And besides, I like having a case to display on my shelf.

Video games used to be such fun, an impulse grab of whimsy, and with all this its dying. Kids can get A game for Christmas/birthday, or five actual toys. I look at a game now and battle over it for sometimes days. I think, this is almost a day’s pay for me, I could buy a tank of gas for this, or pay my water and gas bill. And now they want to take away the physical thing we can hold, too? It makes me mad, and it seems to make others mad.

And the only way the companies will know how mad we are, is if we don’t buy it.

Seriously, PS3 won’t play PS1 and most PS2 games. I still have a PS2. I will not buy a 3, and if I ever crack and do get a PS3, it will be used. I own that PS2, an N64, a Wii, and like 4 DSs. When I’m not feeling Nintendo’s shit, I don’t buy their stuff. I will NEVER buy a download only game, because its fucking stupid to pay up to $40 for data that cannot be shared or transferred. If your DS breaks, tough shit, buy the game again. I won’t do it, and no one else should. Pay for extra content? NOPE The only reason I’ll buy an APP is because it remembers you and you don’t have to buy it again when you get a new phone.

Just like all these people bitching about Pokemon going to shit (while I did not care for B&W, I think the franchise is still sound). If you still go out and buy the godamn game, just go bitch to your own asshole or write it in your CareBear diary, because no one fucking hears you.

I’m looking at pics of sea life to inspire myself for the mermaidesque character and the worst things keep jumping out at me.

Mantis Shrimp. Cuttle Fish. Octopi. Jellyfish. Sea snails and slugs.

How do I make a humanoid creature out of you?! Why must you be so shiny and tantalizing?

Yamino seems to do a nice job with it. Check out some of hers from Sister Claire. That’s my unsolicited advice of the day~ :)

I’ve seen several sea slug boys, super cute. Cuttlefish would be basically like an octo-mermaid with shorter tentacles and those side fins. Same with the jelly, maybe make their hair see-through and add bioluminescence. The mantis shrimp would have to be done like a centaur; maybe with oversized eyes and claw-hands (don’t remember if the have pincers). I’d have to look at the critters and know more about the characters to help more…

-Cinderella: Prince Henry

-Sleeping Beauty: Prince Phillip

-The Little Mermaid: Prince Eric

-Beauty and the Beast: Prince Adam (not Beast, he had a name. And he was 11 when he was cursed for being a prick; bit harsh if you ask me)

-Aladdin: Aladdin, aka Prince Ali Ababwa

-Pocahontas: John Smith

-Mulan: Li Shang

-The Princess and the Frog: Prince Naveen

-Tangled: Eugene Fitzherbert, aka Flynn Rider

These are the official members of the Disney Princes line. They are part of a franchise just like the Disney Princesses; including their own “prettied up” and “whitewashed” art (look up Naveen, he’s considerably paler, and they tried to make Adam pretty).

*Fun Facts: Hercules (son of the “king of the Gods” so technically a prince) and Megara are not featured in either of their respective Disney Prince/Princess lines.

Brave is the only “Disney Princess” movie to not have a prince. Her brothers fill the gap. Probably because its a Pixar movie.

No one is going to mind Yahoo! buying the website and gaining a few extra million dollars per year from the minimal advertising; what we will be upset with is if a company like Yahoo! then changes the website to increase casual users and decrease dedicated users. As much as is does sound like a load of bullshit for someone to buy Tumblr, it’s a possibility. I Personally think it should stay independent and I hope David Karp keeps a hold of it like his own child. Or we make enough noise to where such major changes (if bought) will not happen. I would hate to see Tumblr turned into an advertising dump.

We’re not a ‘hip fad group’ to be marketed to. I hate the fact that’s all we look like to businesses in the end.
